Anna Georgina
Anna Georgina gowns are created by Kobus Dippenaar who started his dress designing career age 19. Dress designing is the only career Kobus has ever known following in his mothers foot-steps and long family heritage of designing dresses. With a 30-year background in dress design, Kobus originally created couture evening gowns. He started Anna Georgia, in ode to his mothers dress designing company. Kobus has a burning desire for Haute Couture designed fashion gowns to be accessible to all brides.
Anna Georgina gowns are handcrafted with extreme attention to detail. Playing between masculine and female elements, full skirts contrast with fine boning and signature corsetry. Seamstresses create each gown over many weeks with hand-executed techniques. Silhouettes vary from deep romantic necklines to sensual back plunges.
Anna Georgina searches the world for only the finest textures of silk dupoin, sheer fabrics, the sensuousness of silk charmeuse and the lightness of tulle. A delicate palette of vogue colours range from ivory, blush, nude and champagne. The gowns are embellished with fine detailing such as Swarovski crystals, trail pearl buttons, layered skirts of lace, tulle and bejeweled satin. Touches of design drama seen via illusion lace sleeves, lace tattoo elements, hand embroidery, tiny belts and silk petals accents.
Anna Georgina caters to an international audience with boutiques located in the UK, South Africa, the US and across Europe. Headed by Kobus Dippenaar, Creative Director.
