Wedding Table Planning Made Easy
Deciding who to invite to your wedding can be a sensitive task, particularly when you draw the line short of people who may feel they should have been invited. Once the list is finalised, the invitations are sent and the RSVPs have come back, you then face the potential headache of determining where your guests will sit at the wedding reception.
There could be some delicate issues arising from the table planning. For starters, have you or your fiancee’s parents split up, or would seating them at the top table create the possibility of friction? Do you have clearly defined larger groups, such as college friends, who may need to be divided across more than one table? If you have young children attending, will you seat them at a designated table? What of single comers who might not know any of the other guests?
As well as apportioning out your guests, there are also practicalities to consider. Will you go with round or rectangular tables? How many guests can you comfortably fit at a table before it starts to get congested? Is there space for guests to easily walk between tables when they’re going for a drink or to the bathroom?
If these questions seem like difficult obstacles to overcome, the below infographic from Commins & Co (https://www.perfectring.ie/wedding-rings/wedding-rings-for-him/) should go a long way to helping you to make your final decision. It might be an impossible task to fully satisfy absolutely everyone with the table arrangements, but once you take the time to properly think it through and make sensible compromises if necessary, guests will understand and you’ll be able to enjoy the day to its fullest without having to worry about the potential for disaster.
