All about the lips..

One of the most frequent questions asked by my brides is what lip colour to choose for their big day. Of course your lip colour should complement your make-up, but there is a misconception that your lip colour should be natural. It can be anything that you want it to be!
It is important for you to feel like ‘you’ on your wedding day. If you usually wear a red lipstick, then go for it! Reds look particularly good if you are going for a classic, vintage inspired look or if you opt for simple, neutral eyes with a striking red lip. It is recommended to use a red liner to define the lips and help to prevent the colour from bleeding.
You may want to stick with a more natural lip. Pinks and nudes are classic bridal colours and look lovely with a soft, smokey eye. There are so many to choose from to suit all skin tones and the tones can be as light or as deep as you wish.

There are a range of lipstick finishes available, from matte to glossy. You can create an even glossier look by layering with a clear gloss or a gloss that matches your chosen colour.
If you are unsure about which colour to wear on your wedding day, the trial is the perfect time to experiment. You will need to top up your lip colour over the course of your wedding day, so whichever lipstick you choose, make sure that you have one to hand!
