The stag party has become a huge part of the build up to the big day for the groom and his stags. But times are changing, these days the focus is less on the evenings (a few pints and maybe the odd practical joke at the groom expense; wearing a bright pink onesie or worse!). Modern stag parties have caught the Bear Grylls’ bug and are in search of bigger and better adventures.

Coasteering
If you do like to stag beside the seaside but want a bit more than fish and chips and cheeky postcards, coasteering is the daddy of extreme watersports. It’s a simple matter of getting from A to B, using climbing, rock scrambling, white water swimming, rock pools and leaps of faith from the cliffs into the sea below. This is man vs nature vs hangover.

Play With a Legend
Football fanatics and can live out their boyhood dreams and take to the pitch with a Premier League sporting legend. Not only will the stags get to play with one of a selection of sporting greats including Internationally capped players, but after the game they’ll also get to share a pint or two and hear a few tales from the dressing room.

Bear Grylls Stag Survivors
This is the real deal and perhaps the ultimate test for adventure hungry stags. Designed and run by Bear Grylls’ own team, the stags will learn how to fend for themselves in the wild. As well as mastering skills such as rock climbing, shelter building, fire making and raft building the groom will also face some gross eats. Options include roughing it overnight and being dropped in by helicopter.

Stuntman Training
Under the guidance of a real life stuntman who has appeared in films such as James Bond, Red 2 and Warhorse, the stags will be taught a number of stunt disciplines including an epic fight scene. The whole day will be filmed, with footage of all the groomsmen in action that will make the perfect addition to any best man’s speech. Just try not to damage the groom first.
