How to Glam Up Your Wedding Guest Look
Being invited to a wedding is a special honour: it means that you’re a dear friend of the future spouses and they want to share the joy of their special day with you. On that day the focus is, of course, on the happy couple and their strengthened bond, but that doesn’t mean that you can be reckless about the way you look. Being elegant and glamorous is always a good choice when you’re attending a wedding as a guest, and we offer you a few tips on glamming up your look.
Jumpsuit

Jumpsuits have become popular in the past couple of years, and due to this popularity you are able to choose from a variety of different styles and cuts and pick the one that will make you look sophisticated. The easiest way to glam it up and emphasize your curves is to add a nice belt, but sometimes you can try tying a light scarf or a cardigan around your waist too. You can also try wearing a sleek tuxedo jacket or a simple vest and add some chic metallic details to the mix: sunglasses (if we’re talking about an outdoor wedding), a silver clutch bag, or a pair of glittery flats.
Floor-length dress
Weddings are a perfect occasion to rock a floor-length dress. Even if it’s not a black-tie wedding, you can pick a nice maxi dress and turn into a princess for an evening. The best way to glam it up is to focus on jewellery and hair, as your shoes probably won’t be visible. Get a pair of statement earrings and put your hair up in an elegant bun, or wear your hair down and opt for a nice necklace with a matching bracelet instead. If it’s a summer wedding, a maxi dress will allow you to move freely and dance without fear that your skirt will reveal too much. If you’re attending a beach wedding, pair your maxi dress with nice and comfy sandals which you can remove easily so that you don’t have to worry about sand.
Pencil skirt

A pencil skirt is one of those wonderful pieces that complement your figure; in addition, they are incredibly comfortable and versatile too. They can be both formal and casual, the only difference is in the accessories you choose to wear. You will emphasize your long, lean line if you wear a peplum jacket or tuck in your shirt, while your curves will be noticeable if you add a belt to the picture. A fancy, ruffled blouse or even a sheer one made of muslin with a pretty print is also a great choice, especially if you accessorise it with something elegant like a pearl necklace and earrings.
Monochrome

There’s an unwritten rule that you’re not supposed to wear white to a wedding, and there are also people who refuse to wear all-black too, as weddings are joyful occasions. This is where monochromatic outfits step in: wearing different shades of a single colour, combining textures or sticking to the good old combination of your favourite colour and plain white pieces. The trick is to pick the right details: striking accessories by Celine in Sydney, luxurious Prada shoes, elegant Versace sunglasses or a Fendi bag will turn any outfit into a small work of art.
While it’s important that you look good and are remembered for your glamorous and elegant outfit, you should put being comfortable high on your list of priorities as well. You will feel bad if you don’t dance and eat freely on the wedding because your outfit is too tight and your shoes are killing you. Try to combine comfort with elegance and you will get the best results: you’ll be able to have fun and still look amazing.
