Wedding Traditions
Most people have heard of ‘Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue’. Most people know why weddings bands are worn on the third finger of the left hand. But do you know some of the more quirky traditions such as:
Why do we throw confetti?
Why does the bride stand on the left?
Where did the idea of a veil come from?
And what if you don’t want to get married in white?
Of course it is entirely up to you if you follow wedding traditions. A lot of couples choose a more informal and relaxed day to celebrate their nuptials, but its is still nice to wear a veil and the confetti throw always makes for such a good photograph! Here we look at some of the more common Wedding Traditions you may, or may not, choose to incorporate in your day.
