I love doing Wedding Fairs and Open Days! Not only do you get to see some amazing venues like The Grand Hotel in Tynemouth, but you also get to meet excited brides and grooms and their families. Being able to meet couples face to face again and talking about helping with their big day is just so good! My name is Michelle and I own Make-up My Wedding by Michelle
At my latest Wedding Open Day, I had the privilege of making-up models in a couple of different styles. This really helps brides visualise what can be achieved and gives them the opportunity to ask lots of questions. It also gives me scope to showcase my style and how I can tailor this to each individual client.
Working closely with other suppliers is also really important in this industry. I often work alongside Helen from Simply Wed Bridal and Colin from Smart as Suits. Knowing I can rely on these suppliers to offer the same level of service as I do is invaluable. For couples, this collaboration helps bring to life an overall look and feel for what they want achieve for their wedding.
For wedding exhibitors, meeting new suppliers at fairs is a big part of building relationships, making it easier to recommend their services to brides if they are struggling to find a supplier.
Providing bridal hair and make-up, I 100% understand that it is a huge part of your wedding day. Finding someone that you can feel comfortable and relax with is so important. Being able to meet suppliers at fairs and ask lots of questions, without the pressure of a one-on-one appointment, is great.
