Julia and Chris’s York Wedding
DJB Photography
I recently photographed the wedding of Julia and Chris at Bedern Hall and the National Centre for Early Music in York. After their pre-wedding photoshoot at Fountains Abbey a few weeks ago, I was thoroughly looking forward to capturing their wedding day. It was great to get to know Julia and Chris a little more at their pre-wedding shoot. Fountains Abbey never disappoints with lots of opportunity for innovative and creative photography whatever time of year. Despite being nervous prior to the session Julia and Chris soon relaxed into the photoshoot, they were very natural together and complemented each other in their mannerisms making photographing them and staging quite easy.

After some glorious weather the previous weekend it was somewhat disappointing to see the weather forecast for Julia and Chris’s wedding day looking pretty bad. Having said that there were breaks in the rain just when needed for the most part allowing for some lovely photographs of the couple along the road behind York Minster and in the Minster Gardens. Being somewhat overcast this area was a lot quieter than it would have been on a hot sunny day which helped being able to capture some lovely moments between the couple.

Julia looked stunning in her dress supplied by the Bridal Rogue Gallery in York. It really was made for her. Chris looked very handsome and it was an emotional day for them both. They are well suited and clearly make each other very happy. It was a lovely day, well organised, with some great people. Julia and Chis have some really nice friends and family and I was made to feel very much a part of their wedding day. I wish them all the best for their married lives together.

Many thanks to Damian of DJB Photography for submitting this real wedding.
