Real Wedding Caroline & Phil
The lovely Caroline and Phil were married at The Grand Hotel Tynemouth in May 2017. With some wonderful photos taken by David and Emma of David E Williams Photography.
First Visit
Caroline and Phil first came to see us in January to talk about their ideas for their May wedding. Caroline wasn’t the most knowledgeable on flowers but she knew she wanted a pretty but rustic look for her bouquet, and she knew she absolutely loved gypsophila and roses.
At the time Caroline hadn’t bought the dresses for her Bridesmaids. The colour scheme was ivory and blush pink with a slight addition of blue after Caroline and Phil looked at images of our work and found they were very drawn to the blue Scottish thistle.
Second Visit
Once the bridesmaids dresses were bought, Caroline came to see us again. It was decided there would be some extra blue added to the flowers to match with the very pretty ivory and blue bridesmaids dresses. We agrees pale blue delphiniums would be added to the Bridal and Bridesmaids bouquets. This added a pop of colour and helped to create the ‘rustic sticky out look’ for the flowers. The buttonholes and corsages would bemade from ivory roses and gypsophila with a little bit of twine added to them to complete the rustic theme.
We say it all of the time about all of our couples but Caroline and Phil really were a total joy to work with! Caroline sent a very lovely review based on her experience with us, which we just have to share with you!
What the Bride said
‘After doing quite a bit of online research and popping in to local florists I came across Thoughts of You flowers online.
From my initial friendly email response from Amy and flexibility to arrange a visit after work one night, I knew they were right for us. Nothing is too difficult, awkward or a problem and their responses to emails (even at 11pm) is efficient and thoughtful. They have a useful scrapbook to look through (hope we are now included in that ladies!). It was from that and Pinterest that we came up with my original concept. Although this was tweaked when my wedding theme evolved and I’d bought the bridesmaid dresses. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and everyone at the wedding commented how amazing they were!! One final thing, when the flowers were delivered on the morning of the wedding they made sure to make the effort to see me personally. Of course I think our flowers were amazing that goes without saying but Amy and Allison I feel have become friends. I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Thank you Amy and Allison xx’
