HORTON GRANGE COUNTRY HOUSE
Horton Grange Country House is a nine-bedroom, exclusive-use wedding venue nestled in four acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of Northumberland’s countryside, just outside of Ponteland.
Rustic romance meets contemporary comfort throughout – original features sit alongside modern additions, from The Barn’s ceremony space with its overhead chandeliers and atmospheric lighting, to a private dressing area for the wedding party. For a different aesthetic, The Garden Room floods with natural light through apex windows and opens onto a private terrace.
The newly renovated gardens offer an elegant outdoor oasis, positioned as a natural sun trap that captures the best of the daylight, drawing guests outside from midday until dusk. With festoon lighting and patio heaters, there’s no need to retreat indoors when the sun goes down – whether soaking up the afternoon sun or enjoying a cosy evening drink, the re-imagined gardens offer a flawless blend of natural beauty and modern comfort.
As the ceremony draws to a close, guests can spill out onto the terrace as canapés are circulated and refreshments served up from our outdoor bar as the afternoon settles into golden hour. The terrace runs the full width of the house, giving guests plenty of room to gather with the gardens stretching out beyond them.
A gazebo tucked within the greenery of the garden has an outdoor seating area underneath it – a lovely spot for photos, or somewhere quieter to sit with a drink away from the party.
