MAIDENS & RAVENS

Maidens & Ravens is a pretty little boutique situated on historic Micklegate in York.

I wanted the boutique to be a cosy and welcoming space for relaxed private appointments as well as characterful and quirky.

I sell ex-sample designer dresses off-the-peg from my Treasure Trove – a carefully handpicked selection of gowns all priced below £1000, together with gorgeous made to order gowns by sustainable designers. My made to order gowns are available in all sizes and can be customised to your requirements so that the boutique can be fully inclusive!

I also specialise in alternative bridalwear – plenty of choice of colours and styles if traditional is not your vibe.

I have a passion for helping all my brides whatever their age, shape, size, budget or style. Whatever is your dream dress, I want to help you achieve it, and if you have no idea, that’s absolutely fine too. We will find it!

You will always get a welcoming and relaxed experience with no pressure to buy.

What can I say?! Elizabeth’s boutique is truly beautiful and she has the most amazing dresses to choose from. A fully inclusive experience, Elizabeth is a wonderful lady and will make everyone feel welcome and comfortable! Her customer service is second to none and you will be glad you booked an appointment!

Elizabeth is one of the loveliest people I have had the chance of meeting and her boutique is just as beautiful. She is so attentive and takes real care with what she does. The boutique and the dresses are absolutely beautiful and perfect for if you’re dreaming of a dress that is unique!

The Perfect Bridal Shopping Experience

I booked an appointment at Maidens and Ravens after a traumatic experience at another bridal studio. Elizabeth was like a breath of fresh air – she helped me to feel body confident ( I am disabled and was anxious due to my previous experience) and to choose dresses that were perfect for me. I felt really relaxed throughout my appointment time and did not feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my wedding journey, and I would recommend making an appointment with Elizabeth at Maidens & Ravens to any bride to be 🖤
