A Yorkshire-based bridal start-up firm is offering the chance to win a celebrity gown to raise money for Cash for Kids at a unique event.

Leeds-based business, The Bridal Market, is offering the chance to win the gown, previously worn to the British Soap Awards by Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi, at its pre-loved wedding fair in Rotherham on 30 November.

Brides-to-be who purchase a full price ticket to the Bridal Market’s preloved and handmade wedding fair will automatically be entered into the draw to win the dress. All proceedings will be donated to the charity.

The event, which takes at Rotherham’s Park View wedding and function venue, will see live entertainment from Yorkshire vocalist, Vicky Fee, as well as several exhibitors showcasing their products to create a dream wedding on an affordable budget.

Formed earlier this year, The Bridal Market are leaders in pre-loved wedding fairs who provide beautifully unique, affordable dresses and other bridal accessories to encourage brides and newlyweds to buy and sell from one another.

Partner of The Bridal Market, Katherine Cocksedge comments:

“We would like to thank Haute Couture Bridal for providing the celebrity gown to help showcase that pre-loved bridal gowns and accessories can create the same impact as brand new wedding items. We’re aiming to raise awareness and funds for Cash for Kids and help brides-to-be plan their dream wedding day without the nightmare price tag.”

The Bridal Market is a new and innovative concept, exploring a hidden market and thriving within it. The company broadcasts itself across a range of platforms which includes pop-up events, online and in store. Following increased demand, the company plans to host a number more pre-loved wedding fairs across the country.

Cash for Kids, in association with Hallam FM, is based across 22 areas of the UK. The charity supports children aged 0-18 who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect.

Having previously raised more than £500 for Cancer Research by hosting a secret wedding fair at South Leeds Stadium, the firm plans to raise even more for the Bauer Radio’s charity.

About The Bridal Market

The Bridal Market is a new and innovative concept formed in 2016 by Gaynor Hughes and Katherine Cocksedge. Set to bring newlyweds and brides-to-be together to buy and sell from each other at pop up events, in store or online, the Leeds-based firm plans to take the pre-loved wedding market mainstream.

Hundreds of wedding dresses go on sale at each Bridal Market event so savvy brides can enjoy their wedding day safe in the knowledge that they’re able to pick up a bargain.

With a number of exhibitors present at each event offering discounted products and wedding services, The Bridal Market’s mission is to ensure that brides can enjoy a dream day without the traditional debt following their nuptials.

Unlike online auction sites, all The Bridal Market’s dresses can be tried on at each event so brides can try before they buy.
